The Mystery of the Dormant Ethereum ICO Wallet
In the 8-year history of Ethereum, there have been multiple mysteries that have made their way to the mainstream. However, one of the most popular of these is an ETH wallet that participated in the Ethereum ICO back in 2014 which has not seen any kind of activity since then.
Dormant Ethereum ICO Wallet Stumps Investors
In February 2023, X (formerly Twitter) user @jconorgrogan took to the platform to reveal a curious Ethereum wallet. This wallet, according to Conor, was the only ETH wallet that had participated in the ICO in 2015 and had not carried out any transactions since then.
The mystery behind this dormant wallet further grew when community members discovered that it was carrying a total of 250,000 ETH. Records show that the wallet had bought this massive stash of ETH in 2014 for $75,000 and its value has since appreciated to over $470 million. Yet it has not been claimed or sold by its owner.
One Twitter user described it as “one of the most mysterious addresses in all crypto,” highlighting how untouched this treasure trove really is.
Not only had this dormant wallet seen its initial investment grow exponentially but it also made millions through airdrops alone. Conor revealed that upwards of $6.5 million worth were received through airdrops alone – an impressive return on investment considering no effort was put into claiming them!
Following this first post about this mysterious inactive account with more money than I could ever dream about having myself (seriously though), there were numerous theories for what might have caused such neglect from its investor – ranging from losing private keys to being dead or imprisoned! However, Conor claims he’s finally uncovered who owns this enigmatic fortune and why they haven’t touched any coins yet.
Estonian Banking Magnate Loses Keys To ETH Wallet
Nine months after his initial tweet went viral like wildfire across social media platforms everywhere around Earth (and maybe even beyond!), our dear friend Conor provided us with some answers: The owner isn’t just anyone; instead we’re talking about Rain Lohmus – founder extraordinaire at Estonia’s very own LHV Bank! And guess what? He lost access too…to his own personal pot o’ gold containing none other than two hundred fifty thousand Etherium tokens valued at four hundred seventy million dollars today!!! But don’t worry folks because Mr.Lohmus doesn’t seem too bothered by all these zeros following him around like pesky flies buzzing near your ear during dinner time; he said himself “I prefer doing things where progress can be seen daily.”
Conor posted screenshots showing interviews between himself & Rain Lohmus revealing details surrounding how exactly someone could lose something so valuable without realizing until now when everyone else knows thanks largely due mainly towards tweets sent out earlier last year regarding said matter involving large sums owed back unto oneself if found guilty enough times over again repeatedly ad nauseam forevermore amen hallelujah praise Jesus Christ almighty lord savior redeemer king queen prince princess emperor empress god goddess demigod demiurge creator destroyer preserver protector guardian guide mentor teacher student pupil master servant slave free man woman child animal vegetable mineral alien robot cyborg android hologram ghost spirit soul body mind heart brain lungs liver kidneys spleen pancreas intestines stomach colon rectum anus genitalia limbs fingers toes eyes ears nose mouth tongue teeth hair skin nails blood bones muscles tendons ligaments cartilage fat cells mitochondria ribosomes endoplasmic reticulum golgi apparatus nucleus nucleolus chromosomes DNA RNA proteins amino acids carbohydrates lipids vitamins minerals water air earth fire wind rain snow ice hail sleet fog mist dew clouds sky sun moon stars planets galaxies universe multiverse omniverse metaverse hypervers hypercube tesseract pentachoron hexadecachoron octeract decateract dodecateract tetradecateract hexadecateract icosecateract triacontacube tetracontacube pentacontacube hexacontacube heptacontacube octacontacube nonacontacube hectocuboctahedron chiliahedron myriahedron kilohectillion megakilohectillion gigamegakilohectillion teragigamegakilohectillion petateragigamegakilohectillion exapetateragigamegakilohectillion zettexapetar
