Breaking News: The world has come together to inspire parents around the United States to name their babies after popular travel destinations. Who needs a boring name like John or Sarah when you can be named after a place people go to on vacation, am I right?
According to new data, the most popular travel-inspired baby names in the U.S. are actually quite unique and delightful – if we do say so ourselves.
First up, let’s take a trip over to Italy where Florence is inspiring all sorts of baby girls’ names. Parents everywhere are falling in love with this famous city known for its art-filled streets and Italian charm. But really, why stop at just naming your daughter Florence? Why not go for Firenze as well? It’s like two cities in one!
Onward we go across Europe (don’t forget your passport!) where parents are being inspired by another beautiful country: Ireland. Believe it or not, Dublin is becoming somewhat of a trendy baby name choice amongst expecting parents. And who could blame them? With its quaint cobblestone streets and historic pubs galore, it’s no wonder that Dublin is taking over wardrobes ahem…baby names across America.
But wait! There’s more crowning jewels of European towns that Americans have adopted into their child-naming culture – Brussels and London also made the list! Honestly speaking, some would rather change their original identity altogether than call themselves Brussels or London; but nowadays’ trend suggest otherwise.
Next up on our tour de la baby naming extravaganza is none other than Japan’s Kyoto- which believe it or not-is apparently making rounds too among expecting American moms! This magical city nestled within central Japan comprises prehistoric Japanese temples exhibiting history dating back thousands of years ago along with famous mountains often painted with cherry blossoms every spring season featuring vibrant scenery under clear skies always leaves an imprint upon visitors’ souls – ergo what better way to celebrate its grandeur than by giving the same name to one’s offspring?
Making our way over to Africa, it turns out that Tanzania is inspiring parents with their baby naming decisions. Not the typical African names you may have envisioned, huh? But why not pay tribute to a country known for its incredible wildlife parks and beautiful coastline with tranquil beaches?
Jumping across South America now, Brazil is proving quite inspirational in the world of baby names too! Rio- as famous for its colorful Carnival events as it’s picturesque landscapes -has become increasingly popular among future moms. Though modern day Brazilians chop off the “de Janeiro” portion from this fabulous city’s name to make things shorter and sweeter….
And last but certainly not least on our list of travel inspired baby names destinations: New York. Yes folks, apparently people are actually naming their children after a city they would love these little ones never end up living in someday (cough cough…you didn’t hear that from us). But hey, if you really loved your time wandering around Central Park or taking pictures at Times Square then who could blame anyone wanting something permanent to remember them by?
In conclusion- if there isn’t at least 5 babies being named after some place outside US every 2nd hour then we just wouldn’t know what else or which other part of world still needs recognition in form of innocent human lives impacted forever.
So let these findings be proof that inspiration can come from anywhere (even while booking flights online) – all it takes is an open mind and sense of adventure!
Happy travels….or rather… Happy namings….??
