ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — With a job as a tv analyst waiting and a need to move on to the subsequent stage of his life, wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders, 35, formally announced his retirement from the NFL on Wednesday.
Sanders, who spent most of six of his 12 NFL seasons in Denver, was in the Broncos’ complicated with his household to make the announcement. He closed out his profession with 13 begins with the Buffalo Bills final season.
A third-round choose by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2010 draft, Sanders completed his profession with 704 receptions, 9,245 yards and 51 touchdowns. He was a two-time Pro Bowl choice, played in 3 Super Bowls and was portion of the Broncos’ Super Bowl 50 winning group.
“I’m proud to stand up right here and inform you … that I chased down this dream and it was a hell of a ride,” Sanders stated.
