Ah yes, it’s that time of the week again. The Mixed Martial Arts Hour is back to fill your schedules with more violence than a Game of Thrones episode. For those not in the know, Monday’s show starts at an ungodly early time for us westerners – 1 p.m. ET / 10 a.m. PT / 6 p.m. UK time, so make sure you have some caffeine ready if you’re planning on joining us.
We kick off the show by discussing the weekend’s combat sports events because let’s face it; we all love some post-fight analysis and drama with our morning coffee to remind ourselves that our weekend wasn’t as brutal as theirs (unless your weekend involved binge-watching Cobra Kai and eating nothing but pizza).
Then, retired two-division boxing champion Andre Ward joins us to chat about what’s happening in the boxing world right now, which promises to be as exciting as watching paint dry. Next up is former UFC middleweight champion Alex Pereira who will undoubtedly grace us with tales of his move to 205 pounds and fighting Jan Blachowicz while probably dropping hints about wanting another go at Israel Adesanya.
Our next guest is KSW President Martin Lewandowski looking back on his promotion’s action-packed KSW Colosseum 2 event because why settle for just one colosseum when you can have two? We then welcome Anthony Smith who stops by to reflect on his recent loss against Johnny Walker while trying not to cry too much into their webcam or mobile camera.
Finally, we wrap things up with Kai Kara-France following his controversial split-decision loss thanks to Amir Albazi at UFC Vegas 74 – which surprisingly didn’t include any method acting from Dana White pretending he was TJ Dillashaw after accusing him of being a drug cheat cough.
And don’t forget! If listening isn’t enough punishment for you, then make sure to go ahead and subscribe to The MMA Hour on Spotify or iTunes so that we can haunt your eardrums with our weekly episodes.
