Conor McGregor is back and better than ever! Just kidding, he’s actually two fights in the hole. Yes, you read that right – two fights down already. And who was responsible for dealing him yet another loss? None other than Coach Michael Chandler who got one over McGregor on this week’s episode of The Ultimate Fighter 31.
Chandler led his team to victory once again as his No. 4 bantamweight Cody Gibson took out McGregor’s top-ranked Mando Gutierrez (who had a whopping total record of 8-2). Following the win from Roosevelt Roberts over Nate Jennerman in Episode 1, Chandler now leads with an impressive score of 2-0 in the series so far.
Episode 2 kicked off with a twist when bantamweights Trevor Wells (Team McGregor) and Timur Valiev (Team Chandler) were originally scheduled to fight, but it was announced that Wells would not be permitted due to an infectious cold sore on his face – gross much? The bout has been postponed for now while they wait to see if Wells’ infection clears up. In this light-hearted segment, we can all be grateful that McKgregor didn’t get caught doing something such as fixing matches or snorting cocaine before being eliminated; afterall excitement sells even he loses again!
Moving on from grotesque health issues and onto more pressing matters – like the veteran vs prospect matchup between Cody Gibson and Mando Gutierrez which took place instead during this week’s airing Instead fans found themselves captivated by thrill-seeker Gibson taking revenge against Greenhornish Gutierrez: On paper these might have seemed like questionable distinctions given neither fighter had ever tasted UFC action before their stint on TUF but wow did it keep audiences interested still!”
That experience gap proved fatal for young Gutierrez as sixth-year professional fighter Gibon towered above him both physically & skill wise…withstanding endless takedown attempts aimed at closing the distance, Cody gradually picked Mando apart from a safe distance and yet when Gutierrez rushed in to strike, Gibson caught him with a lethal jumping knee – granted it didn’t kill him but it did badly hurt the young blood. Obviously referee Herzog was right there to wave off the fight in record time.
Chandler has continued his incredible run, making it two wins & two knockouts for Team Chandler; showcasing that experience is always an important factor when choosing any team out there! He’s on such a roll that next week lightweights are back in action as No. 2-ranked Chandler fighter Austin Hubbard faces McGregor’s Aaron McKenzie.
But these serious details are not all we can expect from UFC21: viewers will also get more of “The Notorious” on camera as he visits the TUF house and ingratiates himself with both teams while Gutierrez (between ripping farts inside whomever’s vehicle they’re driving or tradingSponsored Product barbs outside) gives CONNOR MCGREGOR A HAIRCUT!
All banter aside though, everyone – regardless of which team they’re on – seem to welcome the former two-division champion warmly. Maybe Conor still has some street cred despite flunking fights? While this goes down Chandler who is a father of {countable} adopted children bonds with Gibson over shared experiences coming from families where adoption is involved alongside special needs siblings—all on display for our viewing pleasure.

Following its exciting conclusion Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler inevitably face off belatedly during “a welterweight bout” whose date remains uncertain till today due to America’s tumultuous international relations through out late January; however one thing we do know so far …the winner gets bragging rights—plus ownership over North Korea itself (now that seems almost worth buying a ticket for).
