Jailton Almeida is apparently on a mission to call out the big names in the UFC, starting with Ciryl Gane, and dreaming of a day when he might get to face off against none other than Jon Jones. Ambitious? Maybe. Hilarious? Definitely.
In his recent fight at UFC Sao Paulo, Almeida managed to secure yet another victory, making it six consecutive wins since joining the UFC back in 2022. His conquest over Derrick Lewis may have been his first decision win, but fear not – Almeida still sees this as an opportunity to rejoice in a dominant performance where he even captured a few 10-8 rounds for good measure. Because, why not?
Almeida gleefully shared with us that he was “pretty happy with the performance,” expressing his delight at being able to showcase his grappling prowess over five whole rounds. Who wouldn’t be thrilled after such an exhausting display of physical strength and endurance, right?
The Contender Series seems like ancient history now, given how quickly Almeida has skyrocketed up to No. 9 in the UFC’s heavyweight rankings since entering the organization’s ranks—and rightfully so! Originally scheduled to take on No. 5-ranked opponent Curtis Blaydes until injury unfortunately intervened, Almeida managed to brush off any disappointment by setting his sights on more worthy adversaries like interim champion Ciryl Gane.
“Honestly,” said a nonchalant Almeida,” I don’t see much advantage in facing Blaydes considering how beautifully I handled Derrick Lewis compared to him getting knocked out by Lewis—ouch! Not quite as interesting indeed.” So there you have it—the mystery behind why Curtis Blaydes just doesn’t make the cut anymore.

It seems that Jailton isn’t one for shying away from tough challenges; after all: standing before him is somebody who lost both an interim title match against Francis Ngannou and then went down during their unification bout against Jon Jones at UFC 285—a true legend! But who would dare dampen Jailton’s spirit as he dreams of sharing space within Jonny Boy’s stomping grounds?
“Things are really speeding up for me these past two years,” says our intrepid adventurer,”If I can pin down Gane next year around this time—I might just find myself twiddling my thumbs at that championship belt!”
And oh boy—isn’t Jailton also letting us know about some gigantic aspirations while we’re discussing this circus show? Yes indeed—he’s longing for a piece of Jon Jones pie someday!
Who needs ambition pills when you’ve got humor capsules flying everywhere?”I want Gane next”,he chuckles,”and let’s cross every finger possible.” Well…we certainly will—all eight fingers crossed too (because even mixed martial artists need luck).

Overall,it appears our Mr.Almedia”s plan might involve going through super-powered heavyweights, yet many dates remain uncertain.Just remember—to dream big, you‘ve gotta aim high, and stay tuned.Heck, humor awaits roundhouse kicking reality!
