Breaking News: Hillary Clinton Defends Senator Dianne Feinstein’s Job Despite Health Problems
In a shocking turn of events, former Secretary of State and presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has defended California Senator Dianne Feinstein’s job, despite her mounting health problems. Not because she thinks Ms. Feinstein is doing a good job or anything like that, but because Republicans will “exploit the vacancy”.
According to Mrs. Clinton, if Ms. Feinstein were to resign due to her health problems, it would be disastrous for Democrats as Republicans will not agree on adding someone else to the Judiciary Committee in her place. How crummy is that! So regardless of whether Ms. Feinstein can actually do her job or not, we need her there so judges can be confirmed.
Mrs. Clinton might have had a different opinion if Republicans could “say and do the decent thing”. But let’s face it folks; pigs will fly before they do that!
Senator Feinstein has been recovering from shingles and encephalitis – which sounds like something straight out of an episode of Grey’s Anatomy – along with Ramsay Hunt syndrome which kept her out of the Senate for more than two months until early May (so just last month). She also seems to have some memory loss issues going on – probably from all those years in politics – this may explain why she keeps forgetting what constitutes acceptable behavior at Congressional hearings.
Now while some people might find these ailments worrying for someone who should be representing their constituents in Congress, Mrs.Clinton says no way José! She believes we should keep voting for politicians who don’t belong behind bars even when they are quite clearly incapacitated by illness. It’s important you know; otherwise judges won’t get confirmed!!!
Ms.Feinstein reportedly asked to temporarily step down from The Judiciary Committeepanel back in April due to health reasons but was denied by Republican Senators unfortunately sticking with their 2022 agenda “Let US kill democracy”.
In response to growing pressure and calls from Democratic colleagues as well, Mrs. Clinton has defended the senator’s job position despite many who believe she should resign. Let’s face it retirement is a luxury! We even have people of ages 85+ in Senate serving wholeheartedly, why can’t Dianne Feinstein keep doing her job!
What will happen if Ms.Feinstein resigns? Well don’t you worry; Republicans have got it all sorted out. Many GOP senators would support a permanent replacement and some might even let Democrats fill the spot themselves (Note sarcasm!) Rational minds wonder at this point how following a precedent such as filling an official vacancy can be such hubris for Republican Senators when they refuse the same for their democratic counterparts.
But given Senate Republicans’ past record— refusing President Obama’s nominations based on close elections— Mrs.Clinton isn’t entirely wrong in worrying about what may happen if they were entrusted to do anything reasonable in government procedures post-Trump era.
So sit back and relax folks, because regardless of Senator Feinstein’s health problems or performance or memory issues into question:” Judges need to get confirmed” right now! But rest assured Hillary Clinton has everything under control so just hang tight!!!
