Bruno “Blindado” Silva
Brendan Allen’s got a tough nut to crack if he’s to keep climbin’ the ranks in the middleweight category. “All In,” who’s currently sittin’ pretty at No. 13 in the MMA Fighting Global Rankings for 185-pounders, has been added to the June 24 UFC Jacksonville card. Arrrr, he’ll be goin’ up against the hard-hittin’ Bruno Silva (23-8). In his last outing in February, Allen (21-5) was victorious over grappling ace Andre Muniz, pullin’ off a surprise submission win. He’s won four in a row now, and six outta his last seven, to enter the contenders’ circle. Silva recently put a stop to his two-fight losing streak by notchin’ up a first-round TKO against veteran Brad Taveres. In six appearances for the UFC, “Blindado” has a 4-2 record. The folks over at MMA Mania were the first to report the matchup.

Jimmy Crute Vs Alonzo Menifield
After their first meeting ended in a draw, Jimmy Crute and Alonzo Menifield, two light heavyweights who have unfinished business, will compete at UFC 290 in a rematch at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. In their first fight at UFC 284 in February, neither man emerged victorious due to a point deduction in the final round. Menifield (13-3-1) knocked Crute (12-3-1) down twice in the first fight, but ultimately cost himself a point in the third round due to grabbing the fence to thwart a takedown attempt by Crute. The scorecards showed one judge with a 29-27 score in favour of Crute, while the other had it at 28-28 with the deduction for Menifield. Menifield was on a two-fight win streak going into that fight, while Crute is looking to notch up his first victory since October 2020. Also officially announced for UFC 290, Shannon Ross (13-7) will throw down against Jesus Aguilar (8-2) in a flyweight scrap, Vitor Petrino (8-0) will take on Marcin Prachnio (16-6) in a light heavyweight bout, and Kamuela Kirk (11-5-0) will battle it out with Esteban Ribovics (11-1) in a lightweight match.
