Once upon a time, in the land of G7 countries, there was a growing concern over the aggressive actions of Russia. Despite several sanctions imposed by various nations and organizations, Russia continued its full-scale invasion of Ukraine with increased military support from its allies.
The situation turned grave when it was found that Chinese companies were providing dual-use goods to Russia, which were being used on Ukrainian battlefields. This led to the G7 countries issuing a joint statement warning all those supporting Russian aggression that they would bear severe consequences unless they stopped immediately.
“We will starve Russia of G7 technology, industrial equipment and services that support their war machine,” declared the G7 statement after high-level talks. The leaders reiterated their call on third parties “to cease providing material support to Russia’s aggression or face severe costs.” They also pledged to continue taking action against third-country actors who provided material assistance to fuel Moscow’s war machine.
However, as much as these leaders wanted to act unitedly against Russian diamonds’ sanctioning issue proposed by the EU and UK remained unresolvable due to disagreements over tracing technologies. Although both expressed concerns regarding this matter but could not reach any concrete solutions at this summit.
Furthermore, issued shortly before Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s arrival in Hiroshima for discussions with G-7 leaders about peace settlements for Ukraine shed some promising light on resolving conflict-related issues between them.
As per sources close within corridors during discussions amongst world leader suggested ready collaboration other than mentioned “we remain ready” (Quoted) for persuasions for deterrence measures are something every country should agree-upon irrespective of territorial locations showcasing unity amidst adversaries including exploring arrangements jointly if required ensuring sustained future security commitments keeping Ukraine safe from aggression maintaining its autonomy prioritizing benefit citizens dwelling across geographical boundaries affected due unrest so far.
