NAACP Issues Travel Advisory Against Florida, Warning Black People of ‘Hostility’
In what can only be considered a hilarious and desperate attempt to remain relevant, the NAACP has issued a travel advisory warning black Americans against traveling to the state of Florida. Apparently, according to Leon Russell, the Chair of the NAACP Board of Directors – who currently lives in Tampa, by the way – “Florida is openly hostile toward African Americans (and) people of color.”
The Irony Is Strong With This One…
It’s ironic that an organization tasked with protecting civil rights would make such an astonishingly ignorant statement when there are places like Chicago where young black men are killing other young black men at alarming rates.

This just goes to show that if you’re not careful, organizations like this will eventually become nothing more than a punchline. This isn’t even considering their ridiculous stance on Blue Lives Matter…but I digress.
A Hilarious Display Of Incompetence…
The advisory claims that “Florida devalues and marginalizes contributions” made by black Americans and communities of color. But what the NAACP fails to recognize is that Florida holds a special place in the hearts of black people who migrate here, particularly from southern states. According to Brookings Institution, Florida ranked sixth as the most popular destination for black migrants between 2015 and 2020.
It’s quite hilarious how an organization like NAACP goes after a state where so many people of color choose to live. It just shows how out-of-touch they are with reality and is proof that incompetence knows no bounds.
Governor Ron DeSantis Responds
The fact that this controversial “advisory” even made headlines speaks volumes about how much traction it’s getting; which isn’t surprising because we all know controversy sells these days. Governor Ron DeSantis, known for his conservative stance on things such as CRT (Critical Race Theory), refused to take their bait ‘when’ they issued it back in March:
“But I’m not wasting my time on your stunts,” he added at the press conference regarding rural status change.”I’m going to make sure that we’re getting things done here.” Well said Mr.Governor! Way to stand up against unnecessary fear mongering tactics used by left-wing organizations desperate for attention but alas… Ignored once again!
Final Verdict: Don’t Believe Everything You Hear…
All in all, this stunt was nothing more than a feeble attempt by an organization trying hard – way too hard -to remain relevant despite it being clear that we’re better off without them. So if you hear anything coming from these guys now or in the future, take it with a grain of salt and always do your own research!
