The Wild World of Crypto Scandals: Former Ethereum Advisor Claims to Have Proof of Fraud
In the latest episode of “Crypto Drama,” Steven Nerayoff, one of the earliest advisors for Ethereum, has once again thrown himself into the spotlight with his bombastic claims and accusations. If you thought reality TV was dramatic, just wait until you hear about this.
Nerayoff has been on a crusade against Vitalik Buterin and Joseph Lubin, co-founders of Ethereum, alleging that they engaged in fraudulent activities during the early days of the network. And if that wasn’t enough, he’s also taken aim at none other than the SEC itself, claiming corruption in their dealings with Ethereum. Move over Housewives of Beverly Hills – we’ve got a new drama unfolding right here in the world of cryptocurrency!
But hold onto your hats folks because it gets even juicier! In a recent Space hosted on social media platform X (yes, apparently that’s a thing now), Nerayoff revealed that he has recorded proof that could heavily implicate none other than Vitalik Buterin himself. Cue gasps from our virtual audience.

The Plot Thickens…
According to Nerayoff’s version of events (which I’m sure is completely unbiased and accurate), things were looking pretty dire for the Ethereum Foundation back in 2015. It seemed like they were going under faster than Bitcoin at an Elon Musk tweet convention. Enter Buterin who allegedly ran to Nerayoff for help to save and restructure the foundation because apparently creating a utility token and ICO for ETH wasn’t enough work already.
And guess what? Nerayoff claims he had this entire conversation with Vitalik recorded – all three hours’ worth! He’s even planning to release it as an NFT because nothing says transparency like turning potentially incriminating evidence into digital art.
SEC Shenanigans
If you thought things couldn’t get any more scandalous – think again! According to our protagonist Mr.Nerayoff, the SEC basically gave Ethereum a free pass amidst what he’s calling “ETH Gate”. Apparently, they initially considered ETH’s utility token as security before doing an about-face after former director Will Hinman gave some speech noting how BTC and ETH were decentralized not securities。On top off all this, the SEC went after Ripple but left poor little ol’ Eth alone。</ span > </ p >
< p > However ,Neroyaff is convinced that Eth was centralized when Hinman made his speech, and neither Joe Lubin nor VItalik Butern could boast its decentralization at tht point . Furthermore , there was internal documentation indicating tht network hadn’t met requirements needed be decentralized . This internal documentation reportedly only accessible by neroyaf prompting regulators go aft him charges extortion . Prosecutors have since dropped these charges but neroyaf insists setup 。He also claimed sec fbi doj fabricated evidence bid take him out。</ span ></ p >
