Get ready folks, Vanity Fair has a juicy scoop for us all! Brace yourselves because politics correspondent Bess Levin has some truly groundbreaking news about Ron DeSantis’ campaign. So what’s the headline you might ask? “Report: Ron DeSantis Will Formally Announce His 2024 Bid With Elon Musk, Because Apparently David Duke Wasn’t Available”. Yes, you read that right folks!
According to Levin, instead of announcing his candidacy conventionally like everyone else does during these things called press conferences – whatever those are – Governor DeSantis will be tweeting with none other than Elon Musk! Yes, the same Elon Musk who invented electric cars and rockets and stuff like that.
But hold on to your horses folks because it only gets better from here. According to Levin’s obviously impeccable sources “…other neo-Nazi sympathizers weren’t available.” Um excuse me ma’am but are you seriously insinuating that Governor DeSantis is a neo-Nazi sympathizer just because he wants to tweet with Elon Musk? You know there’s this thing called freedom of speech right?
And just in case anyone thought musk himself had anything to do with white supremacy or any extremist groups – well think again suckers! In fact according to Levins piece musk was compared himto notorious former KKK grand wizard David Duke. What next didi they accidentally mix up picture references or forget which was which too? Or maybe they felt guilty for not including Trump in their article repertoire so wanted others joining previous blamed individuals..
So let’s take a moment here shall we? We have a man who created PayPal and Tesla being likened to an actual hateful human being who once served as Grand Wizard of one of America’s most historically racist organizations because he simply announced support for Desantisi bid through social media. This kind of journalism should be taught at Harvard Business School as how NOT TO DO JOURNALISM 101.
But this is nothing new. We all remember how the media treated Donald Trump, forcing him to repeatedly denounce Duke – even though he had no relationshipSponsored Product with him whatsoever. And it’s only a matter of time before they do the same thing to DeSantis too.
It seems like left-wing media outlets are getting paranoid that Republican politicians and candidates will be avoiding them in 2024 upping their activities accusing others of being white supremacists. “GOP politicians are increasingly shirking sit-down interviews, barring journalists from 2022 events, and skipping debates—an aversion to media scrutiny that could upend how the next presidential election cycle is covered,” Vanity Fair said breathlessly.
But let’s not forget who we’re talking about here folks; it was just last year when Joe Biden spent almost an entire campaign hiding out in his basement instead of facing tough questions from anyone other than pre-screened “journalists.” Yet Levin doesn’t have an issue with any of that or comment on it at all?
The irony of leftist journos melting down over alleged censorship considering what they did to Senator Ron Johnson over Covid related comments is truly something else people – hypocrisy must be innate for such individuals..
And let’s not kid ourselves here either – why would a Republican candidate give these ‘journalists’ access to themselves? Will anyone want irrelevant people asking stupid questions which might affect their reputation by giving them so much power in their lives? The same ones who compare Elon Musk (the guy who wants us ALL living on Mars) and Governor DeSantis (a man trying tirelessly improve Florida economy) with David Duke?
Vanity Fair should know better than playing loosey-goosey as there’s never been more competition since everyone has started online blogs. They should stick journalism standards instead hiding brevity within words while trying portray news without a fair lens.. Afterall if public trusts less mainstream platforms due lack ethical rhetoric then where will the democracy stand?
I wonder what ridiculous headlines we’ll be seeing next. Will Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez be announcing her candidacy through an Instagram DM to Taylor Swift? Who knows, but I can’t wait because this kind of journalism is just comedy gold!
