Police Officer gets pulled over for speeding, ends up getting arrested
Well, well, well. Looks like the tables have turned on one of our very own police officers. Footage has been released showing a heated exchange between Officer Alexander Shaouni and the deputy who pulled him over for allegedly speeding. And to top it off, he was later arrested.
Oh how the mighty have fallen! It seems like this officer believed that because he carries a badge and gun that he is above the law. But guess what? No one is above the law (except maybe Batman).
The Exchange
In the footage, Officer Shaouni can be seen arguing with Deputy Sheriff Todd Drexler about his alleged speeding violations. To be fair though, it’s difficult to take a cop seriously when they’re wearing those ridiculous aviators.
“Do you understand why I stopped you sir?” asks Deputy Drexler.
“Nope,” responds Shaouni as he shamelessly chomps on a donut.
“Well, you were going 75 in a 55 zone,” says Drexler, trying to maintain his composure.
“I wasn’t speeding, I was just in a hurry to get my daily dose of Dunkin’ Donuts before they run out,” retorts Shaouni with a smug grin on his face.
The Arrest
Apparently Officer Shaouni’s little stunt didn’t sit well with the deputy as he proceeded to place him under arrest for obstructing justice. Looks like someone won’t be enjoying their precious donuts any time soon.
Lesson Learned?
We can only hope that this arrest serves as a wake-up call not only to Officer Shaouni but also to other officers who believe that they are above the law. Maybe it’s finally time for cops everywhere to start obeying traffic laws and stop treating them like mere suggestions? Just saying…
