Bryan Cranston Demands Coffee From James Corden During Their First Meeting
If you ever thought that celebrities were immune to the same kind of awkward encounters we all experience in everyday life, think again. It turns out that even A-listers like Bryan Cranston and late-night host James Corden are not exempt from moments of pure cringe.
The two stars recently appeared on “Today with Hoda & Jenna” and shared a hilarious story about their first encounter, which was anything but smooth sailing for poor old Corden.
According to the British comedian, he and his girlfriendSponsored Product (now wife) had spent the morning binge-watching “Breaking Bad” during their first trip to Los Angeles. After working up an appetite, they decided to grab some lunch at a local restaurant when who should walk in but Bryan Cranston himself.
Cue starstruck moment for Corden as he recounts how he went over to say hello only for Cranston to mistake him for a waiter and ask for more coffee. Classic mix-up!
And if you thought it couldn’t get any worse, just wait until you hear what happened next. Despite trying to explain that he was actually an actor from the United Kingdom who admired Cranston’s work, all the “Breaking Bad” star seemed interested in was getting his DietSponsored Product Coke order right – no ice please!
To add insult to injury, this whole fiasco took place while being watched by millions of viewers on national television during their appearance on “Today with Hoda & Jenna.” Talk about embarrassing!
But hey, at least there’s one thing they can both laugh about now – or maybe just one-half of them since we’re still waiting on confirmation from Cranston himself.
So why did these two celebs decide now would be a good time to share this cringeworthy tale? Well apparently it’s all part of promoting new projects: Corden has launched a Sirius XM interview series called “This Life of Mine with James Corden,” while Cranston is busy promoting his latest film “Argylle.”
But let’s not forget another important piece of news here – last year Bryan revealed plans to step away from acting come 2026 so as not distract too much attention away from his marriage with Robin Dearden after decades together. In fact! He plans on selling off everything related including shutting down production companies AND also bidding adieu Dos Hombres mezcal company co-founded alongside former co-star Aaron Paul because nothing says commitment like stepping back entirely…right?
It looks like these two have found themselves in quite the sticky situation indeed – but don’t worry folks because surely there will be many more amusing anecdotes between them yet!
