So, the big question that has been keeping the internet abuzz for days is whether Chael Sonnen really got a tattoo of Anderson Silva’s face on his arm. It seems some people have nothing better to do than to obsess over other people’s life choices.
Well, surprise! It turns out that it was all just a big tease for Silva’s biopic mini-series. Quite the clever marketing ploy if you ask me. Bravo, Paramount+!
Sonnen thought he could play a little prank by posting a photo of the supposed tattoo on Instagram with the caption “I’m a man of my word.” Of course, this caused quite a stir among fans who couldn’t believe their eyes. And really, who can blame them? A tattoo like that would definitely raise some eyebrows!
Then comes Silva swooping in to reveal that the whole thing was just an elaborate ruse and showcase how easily gullible fans (and perhaps even fellow fighters) can be. The video showed Sonnen weeping while watching Silva’s series and going through with getting an obviously fake tattoo – all while adding his infamous line “you absolutely suck” right under Silva’s face. Classic Sonnen humor at its finest.

Ah yes, let’s not forget about their memorable matches inside the octagon. Sonnen gave “The Spider” quite a run for his money at UFC 117 in 2010 but ultimately tapped to a triangle choke with less than two minutes left on the clock after winning four rounds against him – talk about snatching defeat from jaws of victory!
Not content with one loss under his belt (metaphorically speaking), Sonnen went on beating Brian Stann and Michael Bisping before seeking redemption in an epic rematch at UFC 148—hands down one of UFC’s most anticipated rematches ever! However, it quickly turned into another nightmarish episode as he suffered defeat once again when Silva knocked him out in dramatic fashion — putting an end to any aspirations Chael might have had regarding holding onto middleweight throne anytime soon.
